Regulations of the VII Young Horn Player Academy

 

  1. Festival VII Young Horn Player Academy (hereinafter referred to as YHPA 2025) will be held in the Complex of State Music Schools W. Kilar in Katowice (POSM II st. K. Szymanowski, ul. Ułańska 7b) and the Academy of Music K. Szymanowski in Katowice on March 28-30, 2025.
  2. The organizers of AMW 2025 are:
    • Department of Brass Instruments, Academy of Music K. Szymanowski in Katowice
    • Complex of State Music Schools W. Kilar in Katowice

  3. The organizers envisage two parts of the event:
    • March 28 and 29, 2025 (Friday and Saturday) – Young Horn Player Competition (POSM II st. K. Szymanowski, ul. Ułańska 7b)
    • March 30, 2025 (Sunday) possible completion of the competition part, lectures, concert part – winners, Horn Choir (AM K. Szymanowski in Katowice, ul. Zacisze 3)
  4. The rules of the Young Horn Player Competition, which will take place as part of YHPA 2025, are set out in separate regulations.
  5. The festival is intended for children and young people learning to play the Horn in music schools and other institutions not covered by the artistic education system (cultural centers, brass bands, music centers, individual learning).
  6. The organizers also invite teachers and students to participate. At the end, a performance of the Horn Choir composed of all participants of the festival is planned.
    Participation of students in the Horn Choir is obligatory.
  7. The rules for participation in the laureates’ concert are established by the competition jury.
  8. Each participant will receive a diploma of participation.
  9. Registration for the festival is made by sending a completed electronic form available on the website https://amw.waltornia.pl by February 28, 2025.
  10. Participants will perform in the order determined by the organizers.
  11. A detailed schedule of the event and a list of participants will be posted on the https://amw.waltornia.pl website by March 16, 2025.
  12. Each participant is obliged to arrive under the supervision of an adult.
  13. The organizers do NOT cover the costs of travel, accommodation and meals for participants, teachers, their own accompanists and tutors.

  15. Participants transfer their proprietary copyrights related to YHPA 2025 to the organizers free of charge m.in for archiving and promotional purposes, in particular:
    1. performing competition and concert works,
    2. performing works at the laureates’ concert,
    3. the use of one’s own image.
  16. Submitting an application is tantamount to accepting these Regulations and expressing consent to the use and processing of participants’ personal data for purposes related to the organization of YHPA 2025 and its future editions. It is also tantamount to expressing consent to the free use of the participant’s image and performance recording, among others, for promotional and archival purposes in accordance with Art. 7 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). In accordance with Article 13 paragraphs 1 and 2 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, OJ EU L. 2016.119.1 of 4 May 2016), hereinafter referred to as GDPR, we inform you that the controller of the processed personal data is the Organizational Manager of YHPA 2025, phone +48 505 099 246, email: amwkatowice@gmail.com.
