Information about this edition of the Festival was published by Horn Call – the journal of the International Horn Society, and the thematic TV channel TVP ABC recorded a program with the Festival participants. The Silesian Horn Quartet of the Young Horn Player Academy performed on the “Petersburski Music Show” broadcast.

Age Categories

Participants performed solo presentations in three age groups:

• Group I – for those born in 2005 and later
• Group II – for those born in 2003–2004
• Group III – for those born in 1998–2002

Program:

• Group I – a miniature, piece, or its movement solo or with piano accompaniment,
  with a total duration not exceeding 3 minutes
• Group II – a miniature, piece, or its movement solo or with piano accompaniment,
  with a total duration not exceeding 5 minutes
• Group III – a miniature, piece, or its movement solo or with piano accompaniment,
  with a total duration not exceeding 7 minutes

Silesian Horn Quartet

Silesian Horn Quartet consisting of: Leszek Salwa, Jerzy Ślęzak, Waldemar Matera, Grzegorz Grzegorzek. A renowned chamber ensemble associated with the Silesian Philharmonic and the Academy of Music in Katowice, performing classical, contemporary, and light music repertoires. Damian Walentek appeared as a guest performer with the ensemble during the Young Horn Player Academy concert.

Monika Całus – student of the Marcin Józef Żebrowski Music School Complex in Częstochowa in the horn class of Maryla Limanowska, M.A.

Sylwia Majchrzak

Sylwia Majchrzak – at the age of 12, she began her studies at the Marcin Józef Żebrowski Music School Complex in Częstochowa in the horn class of Maryla Limanowska, M.A. Currently, she is a student at the Academy of Music in Katowice, in the horn class of Damian Walentek, Ph.D., Adjunct Professor.
